My First Visit to Hive Beach

My first visit to Hive Beach was a little over ten years ago. I had arrived in Burton Bradstock the previous evening and hadn't yet had a chance to explore. On a cold winter morning, I set off for a walk with my dog towards the sea.

As I walked down the cliff path, the view of the beach and cliffs gradually opened up in front of me. When I stepped onto the beach, the cliffs took my breath away. There was nobody else there that morning, just me, my dog and this incredible landscape.

The waves seemed enormous and the cliffs towered above us. Everything felt heightened, as though nature had turned up the volume. I stood there for a while, taking it all in, and that feeling of awe and wonder has stayed with me ever since.

The Inspiration Behind My First Landscape Print Collection

That morning helped inspire our move to the South West. Although we now live over the border in Devon, Hive Beach and West Bay remain places I love to return to.

When it came to creating my first collection of landscape prints, it felt natural to begin here.
